Indian Railways has declared an enterprising proposal to launch a private trains project, called ‘Bharat Gaurav’. Indian Railways now plans to invite proposals from private sector players, who will run over 150 passenger trains from the fiscal year 2022-23.

However, Piyush Goyal Indian Railways has taken the necessary step of inviting a Rs 30,000 crore mega private trains project. The current trains that will be stimulated by the private sector will be under the Make in India initiative. Qualified in attaining 160 mph speeds. The private trains on any route will at the highest take the same time as the fastest Indian Railways train. Therefore, Indian Railways has divided the paths for private trains into 12 clusters. Rs 30,000 crore Indian Railway project

According to the ministry, the intended investment was estimated at around Rs 30,000 crore. 70 percent would be manufactured in India and private commodities shall be liable for financing, procuring, operating, and maintaining the trains. The winning bidders were to be delivered for 35 years on revenue. According to the ministry’s projections, Indian Railways select the companies and has started the private trains by the year 2021. The first 12 were predicted to start by 2023-24 and the rest in coming years.
