Train travel is now delightful
I am soon planning to travel to Bangalore for a business trip, but due to the huge rush due to New Year, getting a seat in Rajdhani is a daunting task. Well, we finally booked our tickets with a waiting of 3 and 4. We are hopeful that the waiting would clear easily.
Then, with the PNR number of the train in my hand, I was looking for a good website through which I can place an order for my food while I travel in train. Then suddenly, the phone rang, and I got a call from my very good friend. Randomly while exchanging greetings, I told him that I am looking for a website for the purpose of ordering food for the train. Then he made me visit, travelerfood.com and my search for a good website met its beautiful end.
The website is a well organised one, with easy navigation as one of its USP. Placing an order here is just so simple and indeed is a child’s play. On the home page itself, I entered the train name/number and then the station from which it will depart and the station where it would reach. Then I selected the date of my travel. In case you have the PNR number in your hand, you can feed that into the website and get the search engine going. Then I hit the mighty button SEARCH. Then in the next page the website showed me a list of restaurants from which I could place the order for my trip to Bangalore.
When I clicked there to view the menu, I was more than amazed to find all the different delicious cuisines on the menu. It has everything from Indian dishes to Italian and Chinese. I was very happy to see the platter of different food on the desktop of my laptop.
I had chosen Nagpur as my spot for getting my food. Being a vegetarian, the different thalis present in the menu kind of pulled me. I ordered a veg thali, which had everything that can make my travel on wheels simply amazing. It had a Paneer Veg, Daal fry, a seasonal vegetable, 3 Rotis/ Paranthas, Jeera rice, pickle and a sweet.
The thali is designed in such a manner that it can make you feel full stomach. The picture of the thali that is shown on the website is actually mesmerizing. Take into consideration the minimum order clause, I dint see the minimum order amount and thus had to go back for placing the order accordingly.
I then made the payment through my credit card. You can choose any other mode of payment also, the debit card or net banking, every mode of payment is accepted here. Once you make payment, you will also receive a confirmation message from Traveler food. The process of making payment is just hassle free. In true sense, I got my food for train with few clicks.
While checking out from the website, I even viewed the tabs through which I was able to check the PNR Status of my train bookings. This is indeed an amazing website which has added the desired flavours to my trip.
