Prayag, as it was earlier called, is one of the largest cities in the state Uttar Pradesh. Being located at the confluence of 3 sacred Indian rivers- Ganga, Yamuna and Saraswati i.e Triveni (the point where these three sacred rivers meet), the city enjoys its prime importance in terms of pilgrimage. The city is considered as the pious city by the Hindus. The Allahabad today is said to be a perfect mix of politically aware and spiritually conscious bunch of people.
