The city of Valsad is located in the district of the same name in the southern region of Gujarat. Formerly known by the name of Bulsar, the city boasts of a rich history that dates back to before the colonial era. The region is also renowned for being the gateway through which the Parsis entered the India. The famous Dandi beach, from where Gandhi Ji started the Civil Disobedience movement, is located only at a distance of 16 kms from the city. Other attractions in the region include several temples such as the Sati Mati and Somnath Mahadev temples as well as Wilson Hill and Tithal Beach.<\/p>\n

The Valsad railway station is run and managed by the Western Railway Division of Indian Railways and is an important station for several major trains passing through the region. It is the station nearest to the popular tourist destinations of Daman and Dadar and Nagar Haveli.
